FAQs

What Will My First Visit Be Like at Lemke Periodontics?

Your consultation appointment is an opportunity for you to meet the team and discuss your oral health needs and goals. As periodontal professionals, we are well-versed in a wide range of gum treatments that protect, restore and preserve your overall health. Based on the recommendations of your general dentist and your own desires, we will determine the appropriate course of action.

Next we develop a treatment plan just for you. This may involve one or more treatments, procedures or surgeries, often in collaboration with your general dentist and any other oral health professionals. We will make sure you understand each step in this process, and confirm that it works for both your health and schedule.

How Often Will I Come to Lemke Periodontics for Treatment?

Periodontal care looks different for each patient, and as such, this impacts how many times you will need to come see our team. While some procedures may require only one major visit with a few follow-up appointments, others may require several appointments for the procedure itself plus separate follow-ups.

We are quite experienced with accommodating patients’ schedules and communicating the proper course of action for treatment. You can expect our team to work closely with you when scheduling your treatment, and to always prioritize your wellbeing, peace of mind and comfort.

Additionally, your treatment may require special preparation or recovery outside of our office. We will work with you to determine what you may need and provide any tools for proper at-home care.

What Happens During Periodontal Treatment?

During your consultation appointment, our team will discuss your periodontal treatment plan and each step in the planning, procedure and healing process. Contact us with any additional questions during your time as a patient at our practice.
